How does it work?
UVB Phototherapy or light therapy exposes your body to a safe UV light which has excellent healing properties. Present in natural sunlight UVB penetrates the skin to slow the growth of affected skin cells.
Treatment involves exposing the skin to the artificial UVB light source for a set length of time on a regular schedule. The treatment is totally painless, is warm but not hot and only takes a few seconds to minutes per treatment.
There are no out of pocket expenses. All UVB treatments are bulk billed and there is no out of pocket expense other than when you require specialist review. This coupled with our on-site complementary car park increases the accessibility for this treatment.
How can you access UVB Phototherapy Treatment?
The first step is to make an appointment with Dr Kate DeAmborsis who will conduct a full assessment and history of the skin condition and prescribe the best treatment plan for your skin.
