A facelift is a procedure that aims to remove excess skin from the face and neck region. This procedure may also involve the tightening of facial muscles and removal of excess fat.
A facelift may be considered if you have issue with excess skin and fat in the neck region as a result of
- loss of skin elasticity and tone with age
- creases around the face and eyes
- jowls
- fat around the face that has fallen
A facelift can be performed alone, together and/or in conjunction with another procedure such as a necklift or upper blepharoplasty depending on your aesthetic and functional concerns.
This procedure is performed under a general anaesthesia in an accredited hospital facility by a qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon.
